We’ll begin with a candle-making experience led by The Candle Bar. Choose your vessel — a charming pawprint or sugar skull — and bring it to life with paint and color. Once your design is complete, you’ll select a scent that reminds you of your honored loved one and pour your candle with care. When your candle has fully burned, the vessel can be repurposed as a memory jar to hold photos, notes, or keepsakes — a lasting tribute to those who remain close to your heart.
Next, join Icing Queens for a hands-on cookie decorating class inspired by the vibrant spirit of Día de los Muertos. You’ll decorate six themed sugar cookies, learning the techniques of outlining, flooding, and detailed design using our signature royal icing recipes. One cookie will be crafted in dedication to your past loved ones, adding a personal touch of remembrance.
During the event, we’ll host a community ofrenda — a shared altar of love and memory. Guests are encouraged to bring marigolds, photos, or small items that represent those they wish to honor. As soft cultural music fills the air, we’ll share in reflection, creativity, and connection.
